Allergen & Ingredient Disclaimer
This is the full version of the disclaimer shown in short form on every product page. Please read it before relying on this site for a food allergy or dietary restriction. The short version:
Please read before eating: Allergen and ingredient information on this page is based on the manufacturer's official label as of the verified date below, translated with AI assistance. Formulations may change without notice. This site is not a substitute for medical advice. Always check the actual package before consuming, especially if you have food allergies. This product is not certified vegan, vegetarian, or halal unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer.
The rest of this page explains what each part of that commitment means in practice.
What this information is based on
Every ingredient and allergen claim on this site is based on the manufacturer's official product label, as of the "verified" date shown on that product's page. We translate that label with AI assistance and check it against the original Japanese text (seehow we verify our data), but we are not the manufacturer — we're reporting what their label said on the date we checked it, nothing more.
Labels change; we can lag behind
Manufacturers change formulations sometimes without any obvious announcement. Our data reflects the label as of our last verification date, not necessarily what's on the shelf today. The more time has passed since that date, the more you should treat our page as a starting point rather than a final answer.
This is not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice, and it is not a substitute for reading the actual physical package in front of you. If you have a food allergy — especially a serious one — read the label yourself before eating, every time, no matter what our page says.
No certifications are implied
No product on this site is certified vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or halal unless the manufacturer explicitly states that certification and we report it. "No listed fish ingredient" is not the same thing as a vegan or vegetarian certification — it only means fish didn't appear in the ingredient list we checked. It doesn't rule out shared-equipment cross-contact during manufacturing, and it doesn't account for ingredients a manufacturer isn't legally required to itemize. We also don't currently have a halal-certification field at all (see our Can I Eat This FAQ) — the absence of pork or alcohol on a label should never be read as "halal" on this site.
What "unable to determine" means
On some product pages, you'll see "unable to determine" instead of a yes/no answer for a given ingredient or allergen. That's a deliberate choice: it means the official label didn't give us enough information to answer confidently either way, and rather than guess, we're telling you plainly that we don't know. Treat it the same way you'd treat a blank label — check the actual package, or contact the manufacturer directly.
Found an error?
We're one person maintaining this database by hand, cross-checked against official sources — but mistakes happen, and labels change faster than we can. Every product page has its own "Report an error" link, pre-addressed with that product's name. You can also reach us any time at hello@example.com.
